While the reality of a situation like this isn't very funny, it does highlight the occasional encounter that one wouldn't normally expect to find in a library setting.

Attempting to straighten out shelves in certain sections of the library and making sure they're in proper order can be an arduous task...especially in the early morning when the brain is still half asleep. I'll try to squeeze in one more cartoon before the new year arrives. Happy Holidays!

In this episode, I tried to see things from the viewpoint of a library clerk. Since I've never worked as one, I'm not sure if I pulled it off right, but my co-workers will let me know if I messed up. *Update* - Since posting this cartoon, it's been pointed out to me that library clerks are not supposed to comment on material checked out by patrons. Oops!

I had a tough time coming up with the final panel on this one. Hopefully it makes sense...

The graphic novels have got to be the most popular books in our library. I'm pretty sure they don't make bug lamps this huge, but it's fun to imagine...

Patrons without library cards that want to use the internet are given a temporary visitor pass. We get quite a few regulars...
