Here's another cartoon about the library at closing time and last minute stragglers. Whenever I head for the exit doors, I usually witness a member of our staff having to turn a patron away with some desperate excuse to enter. Turning patrons away at closing has got to be one of toughest jobs, in my opinion.
It's especially hard to turn those patrons away when they simply won't take "no, we're closed" for an answer. Insisting this will only take a minute, yet they don't know what they're after and need to hit the computers or reference desk to figure it out...

Try being a bartender! Peeps like their sauce almost as much as they like their books!
