I guess I didn't make it very clear that this was a library page dressed as a ninja (known for their stealth abilities) trying to avoid patron interactions. But no matter how skilled, inevitably he ends up facing his job duties. Hope that helps...
Library Ninja was trying to check his/her email or some other thing the patrons could interrupt like they were on duty at the time? :)
Yep, something like that...
We had an employee who started out as a shelver and became a clerk. We referred to him as the Library Ninja because he seemed to move undetected through the building, and he could find things with alarming speed, put more bookdrop contents into a single cart, and check in and sort more in a single shift than most anyone else.
We miss our Library Ninja.
