This is the end result of cartoonist's block. All I could draw was some kind of mix between The Missing Piece by Shel Silverstein and Matt Groening's Life In Hell. It's been difficult coming up with new ideas lately, so hopefully we'll return to our regularly scheduled program by next week.

Given the condition in which books are returned, one must wonder if patrons do, in fact, store them in their mouths... XD
My favorite returned book was the one that was slightly burned. The patron was told that she could kill germs on the book by microwaving it. Sadly, this copy had a foil knife on the front and had caught on fire. We suggested she wear gloves or use some sort of lysol spray.
OMG! She microwaved the book? *laughing=hypoxia* Some people clearly will act on anything they hear, no matter how idiotic it is.
And my dear boy, if you run out of ideas, let your poor brain have a rest. The library will provide eventually. You're not required to produce these every few days, give yourself a break, slick. *hugs*
Jess: You had a patron that wanted to clean a book before returning it? That's gotta be a rarity, most will stick it in the bookdrop dirty and insist that's how they got it in the first place. :)
Definitely more Silverstein than Groening, but I'm with ya there.
i loved it! but then i love bizarro too, so maybe i'm not representative.

Love your cartoons Jayson, whenever you run out of ideas just visit our library dept., it's a plethora of jokes.
This one made me laugh out loud! Keep up the good work (meant in an encouraging way, not to pressure you)! cheers.
