It might seem like I'm wallowing in self pity with this post, but it's just showing a behind the scenes look at what I go through to put a cartoon together. Okay, it's actually not that bad, but I've been dealing with a bit of cartoonist's block this past week. No worries, I've got a couple of ideas brewing...stay tuned!

Ah, dear boy, have no angst on account of originality. Everything under the stars has been done, and yet your cartoons remain both amusing and fairly original. Actually, I think the "behind the scenes" cartoon is a very cute idea. You are, after all, part of the library world yourself.

I do, however, wonder what a librarian and a patron would need a priest for in a bar... hmm.

Have you seen the Rejection Collection books? The cartoonists talk about how difficult it is to come up with good gags. And the two books are hilarious.

Thanks Kate! I hadn't heard of those books, but I'll keep an eye out for them...
