Part of being employed by the library requires that you go through the occasional training. Some of the sessions are straight forward and to the point, while other times they don't make much sense, leaving you more confused than before. This is compounded by the fact that some of the trainings last an entire day, making them all the more difficult to sit through...especially right after a big lunch. Yawn!

Okay, my first comment was a bit off-color, so I deleted it... I suck. I'll try again:

OMG, Jayson, you have captured the all-day training, and done it in four small panels. You are brilliant, a scholar and a gentleman, and funny as hell.

(that's better)

Personally, I love training days. They don't involve the dreaded public, everyone is relaxed, lunch is free, and it's not like you're tested on any of it. Unfortunately, no one ever seems interested in putting anything they learned into practice. Of course, it's really hard to learn anything about conflict resolution when it's hosted by someone who not only is the president of the rug club for men, he's also a client. You spend all your time looking at the toup'.

There are just some staff meetings slash trainings that you imagine the presenter saying, "Okay, people, we have half an hour of material and only eight hours to give it in, so we'd better get started..."
